One player who stands out for his goal-scoring abilities is Kim Shin-wook. Born on April 22, 1987, in South Korea, Kim joined Shanghai Shenhua in 2005 from Seoul FC. He quickly established himself as a key player for the club, scoring a total of 144 goals in 167 games across all competitions.

Kim's record-breaking performance at Shanghai Shenhua began during the 2007 season when he scored 11 goals in just 13 matches, helping the team secure a place in the Chinese Super League playoffs. In the following seasons, he continued to be a prolific scorer, netting 19 goals in the 2008 season and 24 goals in the 2009 season.

In addition to his individual contributions, Kim also played a crucial role in the success of Shanghai Shenhua under manager Zhang Jiaxuan. Under his guidance, the club won the Chinese Super League title in 2011, becoming the first non-Chinese club to win the league since its inception in 1994.
